Chromebook won't turn on?  Try this:

1. Hold in power button (located on left side of computer)

2. While holding the power button, push and hold the refresh button on the keyboard.

3. Wait for blue light next to power button to blink.

4. Let go of the refresh button first, then let go of the power button.

5. If the computer does not turn on immediately, try closing the computer and opening it.

6. Still not working? Ask for assistance at your library, or contact the technology department.

How to Check for Updates on Your Chromebook​​​​​​​

1. At the bottom right, click/select the time.
2. Select Settings .
3. At the bottom of the left panel, select About Chrome OS.
4. Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses.
5. Select Check for updates.
6. If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.
