Technology Tips and Tools for Educators

Instructional Videos

The following information and instructional videos are courtesy of CV Educator Andrew Downing.

Best Practices:

  1. Adobe Spark video is an easy way to flip your instruction. When recording, keep your audio to 10-15 second chunks to make fixing mistakes easier.
  2. Students can work on all Adobe Spark projects together! Students can "Share" the project and "Invite" others to work on it.
  3. For poster making, using templates are your friend! Templates are a great way to get professional looking work with ease!
  4. Web pages are a great tool for project that have a natural flow. Since the web page scrolls down, students can build an order to their project.
  5. The easiest way for a student to share any work for a project is for them to get a shareable link that they can turn in as their assignment. It is also a great way for students to share their work to classmates too. Create a Schoology discussion post where students post their project links.

Make A Book Trailer with Adobe Spark

Book trailers are easy to make with Adobe Spark.  Here is an instructional video explaining one way to do it along with a sample book trailer from CV librarian Maggie Bokelman.
